At Train & Believe, we are in the business of online fitness training. That means we work with people all over the world to help them reach their fitness goals, and much of that training is done in the comfort of one’s own home. Those who haven’t experienced our online fitness training program may be skeptical that one could achieve their fitness goals more easily at home than, say, a gym full of exercise equipment. There are actually several effective and inexpensive pieces of exercise equipment one can use at home for diverse fitness and training purposes. Here are just a few things that can be used at home to great effect:

Free Weights Dumbbell weights can be used for a variety of different exercises, and are particularly helpful for building muscle in your arms, abs, shoulders, and back. Depending on how much space you have at home, you might also consider getting a barbell and weight bench set. If you can’t afford to buy lifting weights, you can also make your own by filling up empty gallon milk jugs with water.

Chin-Up Bar Relatively inexpensive and easy to install in most door frames, a chin-up bar is a great way to work your biceps, lats, and back. What’s more, you’ll find that always having a bar available will make you want to bust out a few reps every time you walk through the door!

Jump Rope If you’ve got room to swing one, a jump rope can really improve your cardiovascular endurance. If you think jumping rope is a silly activity for little kids, just try to keep it going for five minutes. You’ll soon realize what a challenge it can be! Try jumping with both feet together, or alternate feet to improve your coordination as you work.

When you participate in an online fitness training program from Train & Believe, you’ll get expert advice for using these and other equipment to their maximum potential. Contact us today to get started!
